Missions to Disaster zones

CURRENT HURRICANE SANDY DISASTER RELIEF RESPONSE:

On October 29th, 2012, Hurricane Sandy hit NY and NJ, close to home, One Life was prepared to respond. In a collaborative effort, once again, with Infinity NY Church of the South Bronx, One Life was first responder just 4 days after our own headquarters suffered power outages and required a chainsaw to clear trees in order to gain access.

VOLUNTEER: EMAIL NOW WITH DAYS available

One Life quickly partnered with Stanwich Congregational Church of Greenwich, CT and are currently in active response to the needs in Far Rockaway, Queens, NY and Breezy Point, NY. Warm blankets, clothes and food provisions were initially handed out as first response in these areas, while generators and pumps were utilized to empty standing water from many homes.

After the first week, the NGO’s (non-governmental agencies) organized and began distribution of these items and One Life shifted and grew resources to focus primarily on removing the increasingly unhealthy water from the homes in Far Rockaway and Breezy Point.

Stanwich Congregational Church has forged forward with the same initiative, plus continuing distribution of warm blankets, clothing and food into these area.

Please consider supporting One Life Missions Foundation as One Life is doing the work that no other NGO or Aid Organization is doing. We are going into homes and physically helping remove the water logged furniture and personal effects and dangerous and moldy water.

We are caring and loving families and individuals on a personal level.
May God bless these efforts and you for your donations.

HAITI Earthquake: Jan 2010 establishes new mission for one life

When the catastrophic earthquake struck Port au Prince, Haiti on January 12, 2010, One Life experienced a clear ‘call’ to respond. The initial emergency triage response that was undertaken in close partnership with Infinity New York Church led to discrete phases of service. These included Refugee Camp Management and the current re-building project. As a result of this ‘call’ and resulting opportunity to change lives on a broad scale, One Life has made a permanent commitment to respond, when called, to disaster zones globally, and in zones both in the midst of natural disasters, as well as, zones struggling through the man made disasters of this present age.
